Bruce Almighty

"I did the same thing to Gandhi, he didn't eat for three weeks."

-God

Saw the movie yesterday night... or early today morning. Wanted to watch Shark's Tale, but bombay Times concenterated too much on an underclad Permeshwar Godrej, and in the process ignored printing the right TV schedule. I wouldn't hold it against them, they provide sufficient entertainment by making the celebrities looking stupider than they actually are, but it gets boring after a certain point.

"There are only two infinites I know, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not too sure about the universe"

-Albert Einstein

(After he helped blow up hitherto unknown Japanese cities.) Anyway, post meandering too much. The movie was funny, but I was expecting funnier. Got over too soon with too few stunts.

Liked the message of the movie though, that god cannot do nuts for you, and that you have to make your own miracles.

Bruce: What if I need you? What if I have questions?

God: That's your problem, Bruce. That's everybody's problem. You keep looking up.

FAT CHANCE, but what the hell, at least made people quit bitching about a probably fictitious superior power for a lack of his help.

The B-E-A-utiful part is that the movie still leaves a margin of faith, a faith that God has our best interests in his heart despite all the shit that happens.

The good thing is that they are coming up with a sequel, Morgan Freeman's there, along with Bruce nolan's competetive colleague, the newsguy who likes to do the chachacha...

Apparently, he is heading over to Washington and wants to serve his country as a congressman when God (still Morgan Freeman) shows up and wants him to build an ark in anticipation of the Armageddon. The makes probably saved up the tricks for this flick, has to be good.

List of sequels I am dying for

1) Ice Age 2

2) Pirates OC 2

3) X3

4) Dhoom 2 (NOT shamed to admit that I am...)

5) Evan Almighty

Just notices, PNG graphics get rendered badly either on firefox and IE or on blogger. Know why too - alpha channel transperency. Amazing format, pity that it is underused. Winamp drives itself on PNG graphics. Hehe - PNG stands for PNGs not Gif!

Bruce: Gods dont go on vacation, do they?

God: Ever heard of the dark ages?

I lovve the movie. Morgan freeman as God rocked it totally.

And dont compare Depp ( the original God) with the rest.
